LO QUE PIENSA
Mi poema visual Lo que piensa ha sido seleccionado para formar parte de la exposición de poesía visual de La Inversa, galería y comunidad creativa situada en Donostia–San Sebastián, dentro de la convocatoria ¿Qué es ser humano?. La muestra se enmarca en la Semana Internacional de la Educación Artística EDART 2026 y tendrá lugar del 18 de mayo al 15 de junio de 2026.
La obra parte de una intuición sencilla: casi todo ocurre en el fondo. Hay una conciencia subyacente que sostiene la percepción, el afecto y la palabra, pero que a menudo permanece invisible porque la damos por hecha. Cuando eso sucede, vivimos en piloto automático.
En la imagen aparecen seis cabezas con los ojos cerrados y una llama sobre cada una. No es un incendio: es lo que piensa. Una presencia silenciosa, constante, anterior al discurso. La llama no representa una idea concreta, sino ese fuego de baja intensidad que sostiene la mirada, la duda y la sensibilidad.
Me interesa lo humano como materia viva: cuerpo sensible, inteligencia encarnada, palabra en movimiento. Esta pieza intenta acercar ese fondo al primer plano, no para explicarlo, sino para detenernos un instante ante él.
Atender es alumbrar lo que sostiene la mirada.
My visual poem Lo que piensa (What Thinks) has been selected to be part of the visual poetry exhibition at La Inversa, a gallery and creative community located in Donostia–San Sebastián, within the open call What Does It Mean to Be Human? The exhibition is part of the EDART 2026 International Arts Education Week and will take place from May 18 to June 15, 2026.
The work begins with a simple intuition: almost everything happens in the background. There is an underlying consciousness that sustains perception, affect, and language, yet it often remains invisible because we take it for granted. When that happens, we live on autopilot.
The image shows six heads with closed eyes and a flame above each one. It is not a fire: it is what thinks. A silent, constant presence, prior to discourse. The flame does not represent a specific idea, but rather that low-intensity fire that sustains vision, doubt, and sensitivity.
I am interested in the human as living matter: a sensitive body, embodied intelligence, language in motion. This piece attempts to bring that background into the foreground, not in order to explain it, but to invite us to pause before it for a moment.
To pay attention is to illuminate what sustains the gaze.
